How To Find Peace and Freedom Around Food, Your Body and Weight

When finding peace and freedom in your relationship with food, your body and weight seems as elusive as finding a Fairy Godmother to grant you three wishes, I’ve got good news for you.

You don’t need her!  Call off the search party.

This is what you really need instead.

You need to learn how to manage your mind.  You need a willingness to explore your very human brain with humility.  A willingness to get curious about the thoughts, ideas, beliefs and opinions you accept as true and necessary.

You’ll need to figure out how to ditch the judgement about your past attempts and perceived failures in your weight loss journey.  It’s time to silence your harsh inner critic with kindness and forgiveness.

When you get curious, ditch judgement and learn how to manage your inner critic, then it’s so much easier to open your mind to the possibility of lasting weight loss success.  Then you’ll be ready to try and do things you’ve never done before.

But first, you’ll need a basic understanding of our evolutionary design.  It will help you understand how you can work in alignment with your human brain and metabolic science to make weight loss easier.

Why is this the best news ever?

Because it puts you in the driver’s seat of your one wild and precious life.

Here’s what I mean.

Besides choosing quality whole foods, avoiding manufactured foods and ultra-processed foods, minimizing sugar and flour, and practicing intermittent fasting at some level, you need to be able to manage your mind throughout the process of making major changes to the way you’ve always related to food and eating.

When it comes to food, eating, your body and your weight, when you better understand your innate biological design you can create and implement strategies to overcome your habitual default thought and behaviors patterns.  Finally, you can stop making chices which undermine sustainable weight loss.

Now that’s what I call REAL freedom!

What do we need to know to make sustainable weight loss a whole lot easier?

We need to know how our biological and metabolic design drives behavior.

We need to know how to create and groove new habits until they become our new normal.
